I bought these about a month ago so I'm not sure yet about tread wear but they are a huge improvement to my high end all season run flats in snow and winter conditions. They grab the snow-covered roads much better, clearly improved cornering, stopping and turns and they also ride quietly on bare pavement. I am very pleased with them. I am not seeing noticeable reduced gas mileage. I have an Audi Q7 Prestige with 20" tires...I bought 18" winter tires, adjusting for the diameter changes so the height remained static. It worked--the car did not sound off any warning bells, such as the ESC, tire or engine lights.
